Our internet offering makes provision for anonymous usage.
This website only captures data to the extent that it is technically required and in order to improve the offering. The data are not linked to persons; in other words, there is no way of telling which user retrieved which data. Under no circumstances will the data we collect be sold or made available to third parties for other reasons.
The following explanation shows how this protection is enabled and what kind of data are collected and for which purposes. Every time a user accesses or retrieves a file, data about this transaction are temporarily saved and processed. The following data set is saved for each access/download:
Page viewed/name of the retrieved file
- Amount of data transferred
- Notification about whether the access/retrieval was successful
- Browser type / version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previous page you visited)
- Search terms (when being referred from a search engine)
- Date and time of the query
The IP address of the computer sending the query is not saved. This means that it is not possible to create user profiles linked to individual persons. The collected data are analysed anonymously, and for two reasons only: for statistical purposes and to improve the offering. The data are not used in any other way or made available to third parties.

In such cases your personal information is stored and processed in accordance with Germany's Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG, Bundesdatenschutzgesetz).
The data collected in this context are used and stored to perform the requested service (participation in an event, delivery of publications, bursary requests) and in order to make you aware of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom's other events, publications and activities.
Should you not wish to receive such information simply notify us. We will then remove you from our mailing list (Section 28.4 BDSG).
