Our internet offering makes provision for anonymous usage.
This website only captures data to the extent that it is technically required and in order to improve the offering. The data are not linked to persons; in other words, there is no way of telling which user retrieved which data. Under no circumstances will the data we collect be sold or made available to third parties for other reasons.
The following explanation shows how this protection is enabled and what kind of data are collected and for which purposes. Every time a user accesses or retrieves a file, data about this transaction are temporarily saved and processed. The following data set is saved for each access/download:
Page viewed/name of the retrieved file
- Amount of data transferred
- Notification about whether the access/retrieval was successful
- Browser type / version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previous page you visited)
- Search terms (when being referred from a search engine)
- Date and time of the query
The IP address of the computer sending the query is not saved by us. This means that it is not possible to create user profiles linked to individual persons. The collected data are analysed anonymously, and for two reasons only: for statistical purposes and to improve the offering. The data are not used in any other way or made available to third parties.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, before this occurs, the visitor's IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union member states or the other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. On freiheit.org the Analytics code has been modified to ensure that an anonymised version of the IP address is transmitted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and then shortened. Google shall use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your usage of the website, create reports about your website activities and supply the website provider with further services associated with website and internet usage. You can prevent cookies from being saved by activating the corresponding browser software settings; please note that this may mean that not all of the website’s functions will be fully available. Like most website operators, Piwik.org collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. From time to time, Piwik.org may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. Piwik.org also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Piwik.org does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below."
